I love it when a game just does things right. When I was first introduced to the game Marvel Heroes, I definitely got a glimpse of that, but I did move on to other titles. Then one day I got an email about a special event coming up in it, and it had just enough incentives to get me playing again. Since then I have been playing quite a bit, and by that I mean it is one of seven games in my Steam library that I have logged over 100 hours in. Not one of those hours do I regret either.
Playing more and more I have just been able to learn better and better how many things it does right. One of the things it does right is how you reach a point before too long that just opens up the game to you, ensuring you always have something productive to do. Maybe you do not have the levels or gear to continue the story, so pop into something else and get what you need, then return. Or don't return and end up getting really over powered for what is next in the story. There is more, but I want to get to the point.
In just a few days the game will be celebrating its first birthday and having quite an event and patch to celebrate. From what I have read, it is a good thing they are labeling it Marvel Heroes (2015) because it is such a change from what we have had, that a modified title is likely going to be appropriate. Thanks to how much they have done right so far, I completely trust that this new content will just keep me playing for another hundred hours or more.
